Senators: Protect Communities from Dirty Projects

Big Oil and Big Tech want unrestricted access to build dirty projects in our communities. Our senators are trying to quietly push through a bill that would allow them to do so without community input.

The misleadingly named Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act of 2026 (S.5653) would be the largest attack on federal environmental laws in decades. It fast-tracks fossil fuel projects to support massive data centers by weakening or eliminating environmental review and restricting input from Tribes, communities, states, and the public.

This bill would cement Big Tech’s reliance on dirty energy like fracked gas and fossil fuels, accelerating climate change and worsening pollution and public health.

We need to work together to block any attempt to limit public input and weaken the environmental laws and reviews. Tell the Senate: Oppose any efforts to push dirty projects on our communities!
