Governor Hochul is making a last-minute attempt to gut New York’s climate law using the budget process in order to get away with building more fossil fuel pipelines and power plants that lock us into climate chaos and higher utility bills.
Budget negotiations are not open to the public. And this is far too important to sneak through back rooms.
Our legislators can stop this effort to weaken the climate law by voicing their opposition to any and all attempts to change the climate law in the budget negotiations. But they need to speak up.
Call your Assemblymember right now and urge them to stand up for our climate law!
