In August, the federal government granted its permits to construct the Williams NESE fracked gas pipeline, which would run along the coasts of Staten Island, Brooklyn, and Queens.
Now Governor Hochul must decide: Will she side with Donald Trump or will she protect the interests of New Yorkers, fighting for lower energy bills, clean water, and a liveable climate?
New York already blocked this project five years ago, and the science is even clearer now: the Williams NESE pipeline would contaminate our water, threaten our beaches, worsen climate change, and endanger our communities – at tremendous expense to ratepayers.
Take action: Tell Governor Hochul to stand up to Trump and stop this dangerous, costly, and unnecessary fracked gas pipeline!
