No New Permits for the Gibbstown LNG Export Terminal

With Trump back in power, New Fortress Energy has revived their plans for a fracked gas export terminal in South Jersey. If this project moves forward, highly explosive liquefied natural gas (LNG) would be transported on trucks or rail cars through South Jersey, putting countless lives at risk.

On September 10, the Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) — including Governor Murphy — will vote on a resolution to extend the permit for this project. Urge Governor Murphy to vote against extending permits for the Gibbstown LNG export terminal!

The DRBC has five voting members: the governors of the four states in the Delaware River Basin and one federal representative. The DRBC is supposed to protect the Delaware River and adjacent communities, but it has betrayed its mission in the past by approving permits for the Gibbstown terminal.

Governor Murphy must protect our communities and reject any new or extended Gibbstown permits!
