Trump’s crooked administration is seeking to undermine the regulatory tools needed to fight climate warming pollution by rolling back the Endangerment Finding, which officially acknowledges that greenhouse gases harm public health.

This finding paved the way for the regulation of climate pollution and is supported by an overwhelming scientific consensus. We won’t let them roll back this foundational climate protection without a fight.

I urge you to abandon the proposed rule to rescind the Endangerment Finding and dismantle greenhouse gas standards for vehicles. The Endangerment Finding is a critical tool for fighting climate change, and must be protected for the sake of public health.

Repealing the Endangerment Finding and rolling back vehicle pollution standards would have profound and harmful effects on our communities and the environment. This decision will have implications that could ultimately:

– Make our energy more expensive and our air dirtier by allowing polluters to spew as many harmful emissions into the environment as they want.
– Increase the frequency and severity of climate change-fueled disasters, including floods and wildfires, resulting in expensive rebuilding efforts. 
– Lead to an uptick in serious and life-threatening health issues, including asthma and cancer. Black, Brown, and low-income communities that often live closer to highways and other sources of greenhouse gas pollution, like power plants, will be disproportionately harmed.

I strongly urge you to stop this dangerous attack on our communities and climate. Protect our communities. Protect the planet. Protect the Endangerment Finding!
