DEC: Extend the Public Comment Period for the NESE Pipeline!

President Trump and Governor Hochul met recently to discuss the buildout of fossil fuel pipelines in New York, including projects that the state has struck down in previous years. We cannot allow a dirty pipeline deal that opens New York to more fracked gas projects!

Two previously defeated pipelines — the Williams NESE and Constitution pipelines — are back on the table, alongside the expansion of the Algonquin pipeline dubbed "Project Maple."

On Wednesday, July 2, just before the holiday break, Governor Hochul's administration quietly fast-tracked the review process for the Williams NESE pipeline.

The Department of Environmental Conservation has only given us until August 1st to submit public comments.

Tell the DEC that 30 days is not long enough for potentially impacted communities to weigh in!
