New Yorkers are paying outrageous rates for utility bills, part of which goes to subsidize the gas industry that is poisoning us and causing the climate crisis.

The New York Home Energy Affordable Transition (HEAT) Act would eliminate gas subsidies and cap utility bills at 6% for low- and middle-income New Yorkers, saving people up to $75/month.

The New York State Senate passed NY HEAT last session. Now we need the Assembly to show some leadership and commit to passing NY HEAT as well.
