Make Polluters Pay: Sign the Climate Superfund Act into Law

New York taxpayers are on the hook for billions of dollars to repair infrastructure and protect our communities from climate change. Meanwhile, the fossil fuel industry is reaping record profits.

New York must make the fossil fuel industry pay for the damages caused by its greenhouse gas pollution. The Climate Change Superfund Act would raise $3 billion a year from Big Oil corporations to safeguard our water systems and schools and pay for other essential resiliency measures.

The Senate and the Assembly passed it. Now Governor Hochul must sign the Climate Change Superfund Act into law!
