As the threat of explosive diarrhea from Cyclospora looms over the country, we are facing the direct consequences of Trump’s dangerous cuts. In gutting state health grants and deprioritizing funding for the CDC Food Safety Program, Trump stopped data collection that would have aided public health officials in understanding the prevalence of these outbreaks.
